From high-energy performances to behind-the-scenes moments, Another Level brings movement and community to life on The Heights.
We believe you can’t achieve your academic goals without developing your total personality. Since the majority of your time is spent outside of the classroom, clubs & groups help you enjoy the complete college experience. You’ll be able to meet and connect with fellow Phins who share your interests. You’ll also have so many opportunities to discover new interests and passions. Not sure where to begin? Take a look at some of the options below (and be sure to stop by the Club Fair each fall!) Want to start your own club? We can help with that too!
Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or just discovering your cheese preferences, Cheese Club delivers a welcoming, tasty, and delightfully cheesy experience for everyone!
With over 100 clubs, we’re sure you’ll find a place to make new friends, explore new interests, and make the most of your time on The Heights!
Our students share their answers to your questions!
I think joining a club, attending events, playing a sport, or landing a work-study job are some of the best and most effective ways to make friends and build a resume. Getting involved helps you meet people with similar interests while building leadership, teamwork, and professional skills. It’s certainly worked for me, and made my experience at Le Moyne SO MUCH more fun.
Dolphin Tip: Enjoy Every Second of Your College Experience
There are SO many clubs and organizations on campus and you can join as soon as you get here! I didn’t end up joining anything until my sophomore year, and it’s something I regret. It’s hands down the best way to meet people. If you’re sort of shy like I am, I can tell you it definitely works. You’ll find something for nearly every interest and passion.
Dolphin Tip: Search Our Directory of Clubs to See What You Want to Try
If you don’t think joining a club or organization is for you, there are also so many other organizations, intramural and club sports, and jobs you can find! Club sports are so fun, and can help if you played a sport in high school but don’t want to play on any of the varsity sports here. I got a work study job by e-mailing one of my professors and asking if they needed someone to be a lab monitor. If you don’t get a work study job right away, nothing is stopping you from finding your own!
Dolphin Tip: Never be Afraid to Ask for Help!
Yes! Throughout the year, attending campus events and games is another awesome way to meet people and feel like a part of the community. There are live musicians, bus trips, movies, games, trivia, dances, and fun tournaments (like whiffle ball and kick ball) every weekend to be a part of only for a day.
Dolphin Tip: Be Sure to Check Out What’s Happening on Campus
If you’re shy like I am, trust me, you won’t be alone! Many students feel that way at first. Joining a club, attending an event, or participating in a campus activity can be a low-pressure way to meet people and build confidence. Taking that first step leads to friendships, opportunities, and experiences that shape your college journey. You won’t be sorry you did!
Dolphin Tip: Your first days are about exploration not perfection!
Think about the talents, interests, and passions that make you unique and set you apart from other people! Le Moyne’s close-knit community will allow you to take on meaningful leadership roles, contribute your ideas, and make a real, immediate impact. Whether through leadership, service, academics, athletics, or creative pursuits, you’ll have opportunities to make your mark. And never forget that you’re YOU, and that’s your biggest selling point.
Dolphin Tip: You’ll find purpose in unexpected places here!Â
Join clubs! Join one that is related to something you love to do, and then join one that is outside of your comfort zone. This is the time of your life to try new things, stretch your mind and imagination. Le Moyne is going to prepare you well for life after college - you just have to participate!”
Happening each fall, the Club & Engagement Fair is a can’t-miss event!
